Bad design by Volvo 850

Well, I was going along well in changing out the front hubs on the car. Got my local shop to loosen the axle nuts for me. Jacked the car up, got the nuts removed. Proceeded to remove all the other items as needed to access the hub bolts. This is where things began to go bad. I will never know why Volvo decided to use torx head bolts here. Two of mine sheared right off. So now I'm stuck with two bolts on the bottom side of the hub still. The top two came out without a problem.
The options I see are

1) get a puller for the ball joint and remove the entire piece holding the hub and try to cut the bolt off with a blade, or grind the head off.
2) put it back together and let my shop tackle it.
3) grind off the heads from the bolts, tried it and my grinder will fit in there.

I've tried using vise grips on the remainder of the head, but there just isn't enough room in there to get a proper grip.

Personally, I think normal 6 sided bolts would have been a better choice here.
