foglamp question S60

Hello, I have recently cracked the plastic of my foglamps on my 2001 T5. If I replace them will I have to have the module or computer reset? I thought I read that somewhere. It seems kind of ridiculous that this is computer controlled but? Thanks for any advice, also anyone changed theirs? What's involved mechanically?
