On the odo gear change, what NO ONE told me, even the superb Matthewsvolvosite.com (and i found out after screwing up my turbo guage) is that the nut on the brass nipple on the back of the cluster MUST be unscrewed to remove the guage cluster from the white housing -- that is, after the clear cover is removed but before prying off the panel to get to the odo. OOPS!!!!!
i knocked off the boost guage needle while trying to pry the face off without taking off that nut!!!
now my next question is.... WHAT IS THE NORMAL POSITION OF THE TURBO BOOST GUAGE NEEDLE??? straight up, at the point of the change of the arc color? i will have to super glue it to re-attach it, it seems, so i want to get it right!
(of course i cant remember the 'at rest' position, even though i have looked at it a thousand times!!!!)
