Dummy here, decided to change the bad thermostat without draining some antifreeze out first. I don't mind a little spillage (about a pint).
When I buttoned everything back together and started the car, there was a little smoke from the antifreeze on warm parts. No big deal. Except that the battery warning light is on!
Should I pour water on the altenator and flush it or just wait for the antifreeze to dry? The belt is not slipping and the altenator is going round and round.
This 854T normally won't be driven until Monday.
Thanks all,
Klaus
