Does a 1999 V70 n/a have the small disc-like flame trap? Someone told me that my car,with the B5254 (2,435cc) engine has no distributor,no air pump(therefore no SAS valve either)and the third and final configuration of the power steering pump for the flat sided wagons. Also does my '99 have variable valve timing? Thanks.

    Our 98 V70 does not have one after looking for it a couple weekends ago. However, the 97-98 S90 did have one.

    As far as the flame trap goes, I think volvo stopped using them with the 97? 850's which became the V70. The holder is still there but minus the flame trap element which is a quarter sized white plastic "bowl" with a number of holes.
