How many turbo wagon models are there, anyway? 850 1995

So, how many models of the 850 turbo wagons were made? I've heard them referred to as 855 turbos, t-5 wagons, turbo wagons, 850 GLT turbo wagons, etc. anyone got a good reference?

How do you identify the different versions and what are the key differences?

Mine's a 1995 Volvo wagon with a turbo. It's got every available option that I can see. Heated leather, power drivers seat, SIPS, Electronic climate control, SC-811 stereo, Auto with tracs, etc. So, what do I call it?

    Here's the deal with 850 wagons (as I understand it):

    93 850 base only

    94 850 base, 850 turbo (high pressure 222hp)

    95 850 base, 850 glt(upscale), 850 turbo, 850T-5R (high pressure with 240hp for limited sprints)

    96 850 base, 850 glt, 850 T-5(rebadged 850 turbo, but same specs), 850 platinum edition(basically a T-5 w/ special paint), 850R(rebadged T-5R, but same specs)

    97 850 base, 850 glt(low pressure turbo w/ 190hp), 850 T-5, 850R

    "Sportswagon" is a non-Volvo badge that was put on some of the 850 wagons by dealerships

    855 refers to an 850 wagon (5 entry points)
    854 refers to an 850 sedan (4 entry points)

    855T refers to a turbo 850 wagon
    and so on......

    The turbo's generally come in 4 variants;
    turbo
    turbo with AWD
    T5 (turbo with 5sp manual and FWD only)
    R (turbo with AWD and AT).

      Hi,
      My wife has a 95 850 turbo wagon(369KM) with all options, leather, etc. It`s a Canadian car & is badged a Sportwagon. Don`t know if it was called that for the Cdn Market.
      Great car, we`ve had it for 5 years & it`s a daily commute car so mileage is climbing.

        Sportswagon was named for '94 and '95 I believe and had the high pressure turbo...later called T5. Hopefully this will help in finding out exactly how many different types of 850/855's were built:
