1999 Front Brake Pad changing? S80

I am ready to change my front brake pads on my 99 S80 and I'm not too sure of one thing. The slider screws that I need to get to are kinda deep inside this black rubber housing. Does this little tubular housing just pull off, or do I need to put a particular type of socket in there to loosen it up? Can someone tell me how to do it or tell me somewhere to find it on the web that is illustrated. Thanks in advance folks!

The rubber housing has an end cap which snaps off. Leave the housing in place. You will need a 7mm allen key to get the slider screws out. Not in a lot of key sets, but my Sears Craftsman set has it. Be sure to clean the screws and grease with volvo brake grease when reinstalling. Don't let caliper dangle by brake hose. I use coat hanger to hang the caliper from the spring.

      Links for hints:

These are for a 2001, which should be similar to your 99. Front and rear designs are similar, so read both files.
