My '01, S60 with 64K miles, will occasionally hesitate shifting between gears. It's enough time that it will rev up as if going into neutral. This time period is probably one half to a second. It's had two "downloads" to the computer at the dealer and seems to help but still does it. Any ideas?

    This has to do with the control system of your AT when slipping in to N.
    The control system consists of solenoid valves. These valves are very sensitive to dirt.

    Maybe an flushing of your AT will help. If not replace the entire controlsystem.

    It could also be the B4 cover.

    I suggest you go to your dealer and tell him this info. The dealer should know what to do.

    ETM? Electronic Throttle Module going bad? Just a hunch but what you'are saying fits the bill.
