94 850 sedan stall 850

Hi, I have a 94 850 sedan w/ 90km on it. Since I bought the car 2 years ago I have 4 occasions that the car dies when I'm making a turn, but I can restart it w/out any problems. I tried replacing the fuel pump relay but it did not resolve my problem. Any sugesstion as to the possible solution to my problem is appreciated. Thanks and god bless.

Is it possible there is some dirt in the fuel tank or a broken baffle inside? If fuel is sloshing around and not being taken up during the turn the engine will starve then restart ok once the fuel settles back. It could happen less often or not at all with a fairly full tank. I've had it on 2 cars (a 72 Volvo and an 81 Saab) and it could occur on a hard turn or when climbing/descending a steep hill. On the Volvo I opened the tank via the fuel sender port and saw lots of loose dirt and rust inside with a flashlight. The fuel intake line had a coarse filter screen on it that was also largely obstructed.

Yes, sounds fuel related. But OTOH I've heard of this happening when the ignition switch is failing. In an empty parking lot, drive slowly and crank the wheel to full stop, both directions, and see if there are any problems with lights, wipers, etc, cutting out. It's not a sure test, but might reveal the prob.

And, check when fuel filter was last changed.

Just for fun check your vacume hoses and also the big hose that comes off the throttle body. my car is a turbo and I have blown that hose and the one by the turbo. allthough the turbo hose made a whooshing sound
