Finding the right key fob replacement V70-XC70 2001

I have a 2001 V70T5 and lost a set of keys. I've looked on eBay for a replacement fob but don't seem to find one with the exact same FCC and model code as the one that was lost? Do I need one with the exact same numbers or are they interchageable (programable)? I'd rather get one on eBay than pay $150 for a new one.

    I have purchased several on ebay for our 850. Yhe key is to get one that looks exactly like yours. There should be instructuins in your manual to enroll it to work on your car.

      Thanks, I've seen some that look exactly the same...just slightly different model numbers on the back. I just got back from the dealer, they want $130 to cut a new key. Yikes...any suggested on a less expesive route?

        Cutting the key is indeed expensive. I recall $130 was about the right price. The remote is also expensive. A ebay remote didn't work for me (need the original PIN to be programmed). See my post at
