DTC codes socket B1 414 & 417 850 1995

Bom dia,

Someone could tell me what means dtc codes 414 & 417 (socket B1). It´s a 850 wagon 2.0l non turbo.

The cabin compartment temperature sensors are located in those little holes above the overhead grab handles on either side of the front seats. You can try sticking a vacuum cleaner hose up to the holes and sucking out any debris up on the fan blades, it causes them to seize up and set the code.

414 interior temp sensor fan, driver's side, operation inhibited
417 same thing as 414, only on passenger's side


Pull the sensors out and see if they are full of lint and crud, usually are. Carefully blow them out and reinstall.

Cabin Temperature Sensor / Switch: Service and Repair
Passenger Compartment Sensor
(ECC Only)
1. Ignition off
The passenger compartment temperature sensor is located behind the driver or passenger grab handle, where there is an inlet hole in the inside
cover.
2. Expose passenger compartment temperature sensor:
- Remove grab handle (2 screws).
- Bend back panel B-post.
- Undo cover.
- Bend out corner of inside cover.
3. Remove connection:
Undo connection from passenger compartment temperature sensor
4. Undo passenger compartment temperature sensor:
Undo the screws (2) holding the passenger compartment temperature sensor.
5. Install:
- Passenger compartment temperature sensor (2 screws).
- Connector.
- Cover panel.
- Panel B-post.
- Grab handle (2 screws).
