I have a 2000 S40 - I'm looking to replace my exhaust sytem - the flexable pipe ripped last year, I had it repaired but I've been unhappy with the results but lived them until now, the repair is failing.
So I am looking to replace the original system with something stainless and will provide a few more horse power. Anyone have suggestions where to look and what to look for?

The flex pipe is part of the catylitic converter and is covered with an 8 year, 80,000 mile emissions warranty. I had mine replaced at 48,000 miles and 52 months at no cost. If yours is failing again, it should still be under warranty till 80,000 miles. Good luck.

I believe IPD no longer sells exhaust systems for the 1996-2004 x40 series. Ask the forum at www.s40concepts.net there are a lot of folks with after market systems. I am sure you will find some good ideas there.
