Need the Volvo Part Number for a Boost Control Solenoid (BCS) 850

I called my Volvo dealer parts dept today to check the availability and pricing for a new BCS ( Boost Control Solenoid).

The parts guy came up with Volvo part # 1271630 "Presure Regulator" for about $123.

He could not locate a part called a BCS , but believed this was it.

Can someone kindly confirm the correct Volvo part number for a BCS for a 1995 Volvo 850 Turbo?

Also, any suggestions for where to obtain at a lower price?

Thanks

    Nate,

I see you got your answer from Rich on Volvospeed. I just thought I'd follow up here in case people are wondering. In Volvo's VADIS the part Nate lists above is called "Pressure Regulator". This is the boost controller for the Turbo.

      Thanks Scott!

The part number was indeed confirmed by Rich at Volvospeed.

The local Houston dealer is asking $123 for the part. My online out of state dealer source is quoting $93 plus $7 shipping.

My issue is loss of boost at high RPM's. Fiorst step, I am replacing the 5 turbo hoses with SAMCO silicon hoses and then I am replacing the vacuum lines with Hosetechniques silicone hose.

If this fails to correct the problem , I may replace the Pressure Regulator (or BCS) .

      Nate

        Nate,

I am doing a similar hose replacement. I purchased the SAMCO hoses throught the group buy on Volvospeed....will install when I receive them. I have silicone vacuum hose from High Temp Silicone that I will install when I get some free time...let me know how it goes.
