Where is the cheapest place to buy a OEM gas cap? 850

I can smell gas near mine and it is 10 yrs old. Do they all fail eventually?

One of our 850s has a Stant cap - it appears to be of good quality

There is a recall for the gas tank on the 850's. You can call your dealer to see if your vin # part of the recall. If you smell gas, that may be your problem.

Thanks. I took mine in for the recall and the bonehead said it was not leaking at the seems (recalled area) I need to take it back as it really stinks if I fill it up, hence I keep it at 3/4's. Dealers can really suck!

I just bought a replacement gas cap for my 95 850 turbo wagon at NAPA Auto Parts; it cost $9.00.

The old one would not pass emissions here in Washington State.

No need to go OEM, just get a good brand name (e.g. Stant). My Volvo-specific mechanic was trying to troubleshoot a problem and replaced my OEM one with a Stant to elimiate it as a variable.
