CEL / Code P1171 V70-XC70 1999

Hi. I have a 1999 V70XC with 118,500 miles on it. I'm currently getting a CEL light with a code of P1171, as well as having stalling problems almost every time I come to a complete stop. When I let my foot off the accelerator, I hear a noise similar to water rushing through pipes in an old house, which make me think I may have a vaccum leak somewhere. The majority of the posts I'm seeing suggest that the culprit is usually the MAF. Although I've only owned the car for 1200 miles, I have the service history from the previous owner's dealership, which indicates that the MAF sensor was replaced at 92,700. I replaced the ETS module about 200 miles before this problem occurred. Does anyone have suggestions as to where I might want to look? My fiance (a Jeep girl) is to the point of tears with frustration over our "new" car... :(

So I took the car into my normal garage (as opposed to my dealer) and had them take a look -- They found that the air intake had become disconnected from the side of the turbocharger. Once they reconnected it, everything's happy again, mostly. Yes, I still need to change the O2 sensor sometime, but I can put that off yet. My next question is, could there have been any corrolation between the air intake falling off and the 300-mile-ago dealer-replacement of the ETS module? If it's likely to have been a mistake on the behalf of my dealer in putting stuff back together, I'm likely to pass the (albeit small) bill from my garage on to the dealer. Thanks for your expertise!

P1171 *COULD* be caused by a vacuum leak, among other things. Considering the recent ETS replacement, that might be worth a look, but the AFM is far and away the most common cause of that code.
