Why is my SRS warning light on? C70

I removed my steering wheel airbag to re-dye the leather steering wheel and put it back on the same way I took it off - it's only a two prong plug. Now the SRS warning light goes off for a second or two after starting, then comes back on and stays on. Why?

Doug, Doug, Doug. The battery needed to be disconnected the entire time the air bag was disconnected from the wheel. It wasn't and now you have to go to the dealer to get the computer reset. ONLY a dealer can reset the SRS light. You did plug everything back correctly, right?

What color did you die it?
