TPS engine code 850

My '96 850R threw a check engine light yesterday.

Code is P0120 and P0123, throttle position sensor A has circuit malfunction and circuit high input.

Could anyone give me some details on the problem, possible repairs necessary and whether or not it is safe to drive in the meanwhile?

It's safe to drive. Try disconnecting the TPS and cleaning the connectors, then clearing the codes.
