I have an oil leak and beleive it is the turbo return line. I have been told this is common to the 2001 xc. Can any one explain what I need to do to change the gasket or seal? Or has anyone had this done and what was the cost?

    Hi,

    just replied to another bulletin with a similar problem, on my '96 850 AWD I had an oil leak on the rear of the engine from the turbo oil drain. This has a gasket at the turbo flange and an 'O' ring on the end of the pipe, both parts quite cheap, but the problem is that the right angle drive box has to be dropped to remove / refit the turbo oil drain pipe - expensive at main dealer rates!

    Visit Bay 13, at Volvospeed. It tells you EXACTLY how to do the job.(with pictures) I just discovered the same leak on my 2000 XC turbo, went under the car to look. It's a little tight but doable.
