Small leak evaporative system 850 1996

I'm trying to trace a small evaporative system leak that keeps turning on my CEL about every 2 weeks. There is a small sensor mounted under the lip of the radiator with white and purple vacuum lines running to it. What is this thing? I understand this thingee may be my problem. Also, it has a small knob on the side that must adjust something. Any ideas appreciated!

    It could be that or the cannister under the left front wheel well. I had the same issue. There should also be a small filter close to the item in the front. It is there to filter out charcoal particles. Mine was the cannister.

    No, I think it is the fuel system the CEL is triggering. The fuel system is designed to control fuel vapors. I have the same problem on my 850. I was told it is expensive to replace the part, as it is located above the rear suspension.
