CRAZY VOLVO- random stalling, transmission problems.... PLEASE HELP 850 1993

Hello, my Volvo GLT 850 Automatic has several problems. First there is random stalling- every several months, for no reason at all, my car will just stall between the speeds of 35-45 mphs. When it does stall, all the lights of my dash will come on, but the radio still stays on. This has occured mainly in hot weather (70-80 degrees) but also once at 50 degree weather. I took it to the dealer and they couldn't really figure out why my car was doing it. When it does stall, I just restart the car and it works fine and won't stall again until another several months later.

My second problem is more serious- sometimes my car will not go into reverse or neutral. I will put the car in reverse and it won't move. Or I will put it in neutral and it will start moving forward. If you have any idea what could be causing this please tell me- all the fluids are fine, all the belts were replaced about a year ago, i have about 115K miles on it, and a tune-up was done about a year ago... i have only put maybe 10k miles on the car in a year.
Could this have something to do with my winter mode light flashing (which in the manual says it has malfunctioned)?

ANY IDEAS/SIMILIAR PROBLEMS- PLEASE TELL ME!
