'94 854 - A2 error code - 1-1-1 850

I'm getting a 1-1-1 error code out of block A-2. The only thing I find anywhere for that code says "no DTC set". Can anyone clarify ? Car seems to be running OK, but check engine light stays on.

Code 1-1-1 indicates no fault. On a 94, ABS usually won't set a check engine light. Try A-1 and A-6. A-1 is auto trans, and A-6 is ignition system for LH-3.2 cars. 444 in A-3 indicates an ABS problem. Could be as simple as a fuse or dirty conection, or a faulty relay. You need an ABS book to diagnose.

ABS light 850 1994

I reset the 4-4-4 code out of the A-3 (hasn't reappeared so far), and now the ABS warning light is illuminated, so I guess you're right, there's an ABS problem. I'll check the fuse, but past that, sounds like it's a dealer problem. I know the brakes still work even without ABS, but my son drives the car, and I hate for him to be without the ABS function, so I'll probably take it in soon.

Thanks for the input, Bob !

update - 4-4-4 messge in A-3 block 850 1994

Error code now comes up 4-4-4 from the A-3 side. All the other terminals are flashing 1-1-1 (which I'm told now is "no faults").

According to Bay 13, 4-4-4 from the A-3 terminal is:

444 No power supply to valves in hydraulic unit

Is this as serious as it sounds ?????

Any help appreciated.
