timing belt and suspension 850

Hello,
I bought a 94 850 wagon non turbo but 1st owner has no maintenance records for TB so i decided to have it checked and my volvo guru opened up the TB cover and showed me the TB and is seems ok but has normal rubber deposits(TB wear) around the pulleys so he said to play safe and do the TB. Need to change TB, tensioner, idler pulley-accdg to him water pump is still good-no leaks. should i change the water pump as well? i am looking at $330 OEMParts/Labor. water pump not included in estimate.
He also showed me bad balljoints on my left tire. should i also change my inner and outer tire rod ends since i will be changing both ball joints?

thanks a lot!

If mileage less than 150K miles, skip the water pump.

By the way that's a good price for OEM TB, idler and tensioner and labor.

      thanks John,
well car has 186k miles on it and yes it's good price but i think only the TB is OEM while the rest are after market such as tensioner and pulleys. I'm 2nd owner and my first time to do this, what is basically needed to change with the TB? so should i go with the water pump to make sure? kinda' low on a budget thing....
      thanks again,
      Cesar

I just did all of those myself.

Bought parts from FCP Groton. Great service. All parts are OEMFYI, TB for Volvo is made by Conti-tech (which also makes belts for MB, BMW SAAB, Porsche etc.):

        http://www.contitech-usa.com/

Go there to look up prices.

The tensioner and pulley are also OEM from FCP Groton.

BTW the quote you got is a good price.

        While there, check seals for leak, if nec replace them;
        Cam shaft seals x 2
        Crank seal x1.

        Good Luck

        cn
