850 abs woes 850 1997

I have about 140k on my car and my abs light is now gone from coming on once every three months to on off on off. my abs light was off for a day, I got a used module, put it in, now the abs light is permanetly on. Is there something I need to have reset? or is the module bad? I am going to take it back and get another if it is. When I put another abs controller in, should the light be on?
Thanks for any help you can give me

    did you drive the car after you installed the replacement module?
    the unit does a self diagnostics test at 20mph or so.
    If its a good module and no other failures in the system then the light should go off.

    You need to send your origional ABS unit to Victor, the abs guru. Check this out:
