Odometer & Trip Tick Stopped 850 1995

Odometer & Trip Tick Stopped

Car: 1995 Volvo 850, manual trans, Sedan.
Ok, (I cant say for certain, but didn’t notice error till after hitting a pot hole), The Odometer and trip tick stopped; I reset the trip tick to 0000 and still nothing Speedometer works fine, other gages appear to be fine, but mileage is “Lost in Time!”
Please advise, what do I check, do, or replace!

I may have found the answer from

but any addition info would be greatly appreciated


"There is a tiny gear inside of your odometer which tends to loose a tooth or two and stops the odometer and trip meter from working. This is a common volvo fault. The instrument cluster has to be extracted from the dash and disassembled to replace this tiny gear. Check odometergears.com for instructions on how to do this and purchase the gear."
