Fuel smell after filter change 850

Hi, I've had a bunch of work done recently and it is almost a full time job to do research, get parts, and not spend a fortune. The latest is: I've picked up the car from the independent, and there is a fuel smell in the cabin. It is not overwhelming like the one my 240 had for about 6 months. They replaced the fuel filter, and I don't see any major leaks with just a quick inspection. I'd like to hope it's just a shop smell, but I'm not too hopeful. Where should I start looking. Thanks so much and happy driving.

There is NO reason to smell gas in the car after a filter change. Start the car, leave it in Park with the ebrake engaged, and look under the car by the right rear tire. With the fuel lines under pressure (motor on) even a wet, not dripping, area is dangerous. Have your indy take a look as well. Perhaps one of the copper compression rings didn't set right.

if it only smells with a full tank check the gaskets on the pump and sending unit. There is also hoses under the car near the right rear tire that tear. One on the rollover valve especially.

There's a recall for leaky fuel tanks for certain 850 models. I would check that out first.
