850 trans winter light blinks wont go out 850 1995

I have a 95" 850 with winter control switch on the transmission. The light on the switch is blinking and the car takes off like something is holding it back. What going on is the trans bad, or is it something minor that i can do to fix this problem. helppppp!!!

    It sounds like what mine did, turned out to be the PNP switch. At first they did not get any codes for it but, the problem came and went for months, but I brought it in while flashing and they got the PNP code.

    check www.volvospeed.com for info about it. Some people can do it themselves, I paid an indy garage and was about $250.Car works fine now!

    and read the codes from the A1 socket then take it from there.
