Hi!
I have couple things that are wrong on my '98 Volvo s70 T5: whenever I press the switch to get the window up or down no matter which one (passenger, driver's side) for some reason my lights go dimmer especially at nights, i noticed a lot. Maybe something is wrong with the switch... The other problem is that my steering wheel is not positioned the way it's supposed to be, it is more inclined towards left handside than to be in a balance position. The third problem is that whenever I go over 30mph and I try to maneuvreor avoid something really fast, my rear part of the car acts really gelly, as if hesitates to turn at the same time with the front part. Any ideas, comments? Your contribution is greatly appreciated.
P.S. I have a keyless remote control of a diferent '98 Volvo s70 T5 and i was thinking of installing it on my car. Anybody knows how to do it? I called borton volvo in minneapolis and they told me it's not possible. Thank you

    1. Check the ground wires on your alternator. Make sure they are clean from corrosion or rust. Sounds like not enough output. Also check that your battery is still good, it's over 6 years old.

    2. Check the ty rod bushings for wear. This assumes the car does not pull to the right or left, then get an alignment. The pot holes can be tough around here.

    3. This could be strut related. Or the damper at the top of the strut tower could be out of position. Check both front and rear shocks. I'm assuming you have 32lbs of air in all of your tires.

I don't know about the other stuff but I know the keyless remote is not possible. It would be possible only if you have both numbers that came with the remote originally. (It would be on a sticker stuck to the bag they come in). Other than that, you would need to buy the remote and have them program it for the car.
