Later V70s - non turbo engine option ?? V70-XC70

I'm toying with the idea of getting a V70 to keep my 940 wagon company, and get rid of the Camry wagon. I've looked at and driven a few 850 wagons and noticed that some 850s had a normally aspirated (non turbo) engine.
I'm no fan of turbos, and the NA engine has enough power for my requirements.

Did any of the V70s come out with normally aspirated motors ? I'm particularly interested in the answer to this question with regard to the later shape V70s, (not the older V70s with the 850 style body). If the answer is yes, does anyone know engine size and power rating ?

I have a 2002 N/A V70 with Premium package, touring package , cold weather package and Automatic transmission . I achieve 28-31 MPG on a regular basis. Engine produces 168 HP which is just adequate but I don't have all of the added complexities of the turbo. However, I will be selling this car in the spring of 2005 (I never keep a car outside of its warranty period) and I just might go for the turbo this time as they are a blast to drive.

I have a na V70, 2001 with 5 speed manual. I don't think that there were many of these cars imported to the US, but they do exist. On a recent road trip my mileage varied from 28 to nearly 34, but I blame it on the regional differences in gasoline and terrain as much as anything.

I went shopping for a T5 5 speed V70 and could not find one in the US. On the otherhand, there were several V70 2.4 n/a and S60 2.4 n/a with a manual trans available. The unfortunate thing are that these cars are stripped, no options at all, whie, black, fabric seats, etc.
I could've walked out with a new '04 V70 2.4 manual trans for a little over $25k, BUT, I got a turbo, loaded, with the geartronic trans.
BTW, as far as mileage, the new auto trans six-speed gets the same economy numbers as the manual trans, 32 mpg hiway, 23 mpg city. The 2.5 T is rated 22/28 My best mileage so far was 28.5 mpg @ 87.3 mph for a 4 hr trip. Usually gets 24.5 mpg combined, and this is the turbo engine! Whoosh!

If I were you, I'd get the turbo. :)

You can get a 2004 v70 with the nonturbo engine. The power rating, 168hp, is the same as it has been for years. With that said the new car with that engine feels much more powerful than earlier models with that egine as a result of variable intake valve timing and a five speed auto trans. It also gets better fuel milage. This is based on our experience with a 1994 850 wagon.

I know lease deals are commonplace, but does Volvo tend to offer incentives on purchasing a base model V70, like factory to dealer cash, etc?

If I could land a new base V70 in the low to mid 20K range, that'd be sweet. Do dealers ever stock base models though, or would I end up having to order one?
