1997 850 t5 coolant under car 850

I recently had about 3k worth of work put into my 850, I had to get a valve job because a volvo dealership did not inspect a hose after replacing a heater core causing all of my coolant to drain out and ruin my motor. I had the valve job, water pump, timing belt, head gasket, and various other items that were just "wrong" with this car. So far I am not impressed with the 850 reliabilty compared to my 89 240, 95 mazda rx-7, or yes, even my 1996 ford probe gt. The coolant was coming out from somewhere around the reservoir, but the res level was still at max? is there anything i can check before having to take off work to take the car to the volvo dealership, for the third time in 2 months?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Brad

    Some thoughts:

The resevoir caps are known to crack. The ones more prone to
this are gray. The newer design is a light blue, teal, or green
(depends on who you ask). It could be the cap leaks when the
system is under pressure. It has been reported (here) that
over-tightening the caps is thought to make them more prone
to leak. You might try a new cap if everything else checks out.

The turbo is also liquid cooled and has some connectors behind
the block on the passenger side. Those could be looked at.

The timing belt cover comes off with one 12mm bolt. You could pull
it and that allows visual inspection of the water pump. Check for
coolant in this area (it should be dry and pretty clean). Putting
the cover back on is harder then taking it off -- make sure it is
on correctly so it does not rub any belts (it is not really that
difficult but I thought worth mentioning).
