Whats the difference between these two thermostats?

And is this the IAC sensor that I need?

Well, the first one that shows three different T/stats, they are all cooling system thermostats and the second one, although it shows no picture, states that it is an airbox T/stat. One regulates the coolant temp and warm up and the other regulates the air intake temp for the air box.

So, in replacing the intake air temp sensor, the airbox t-stat would be the one of choice? I haven't been into this part of the car and don't know what all the components look like and how they fit. I know I will be replacing the IAT sensor so I want to have all the correct parts before I start the job.

Thanks for the help

I haven't been getting all that much sleep lately.....

What about this URL? Is this the IAT sensor? Or is that something different?

So, are you running a Fenix system? I don't see those out here in So. Cal and the Motronic systems do not run an IAT. I have literally never ever seen a bad pre-heat T/stat in an 850. I have replace countless ones in the 2's, 7's, and 9's

To be quite honest, this is a little embarassing, I don't know what system I'm running on. Its not a California car if that helps. How do I check that?

The t-stat was just a recommendation as a preventative maintanence task while I was replacing the IAT. If this is so rare that you've never heard of it happening, then maybe I'll save myself a few bucks. Still curious about the IAT though.
