I have a '97 R Wagon, 2nd one we've owned and we do love it.

I just got back from a road trip and noticed that when I hit the turn signal for a lane change, that is not pushing the stalk all the way down for a normal turn signal, I get a noise that sounds very much like an old fashioned kitchen buzzer. It seems to only happen when I'm on the highway and only when making lane changes.

Has anyone else had this problem? Should I be concerned?

    I can create this sound anytime, i always suspected some relay or switch that isn't fully on or off but somewhere in between, or i guess both on and off many times a second. Mine hasn't stopped working yet, but i haven't held it at that noise for long, my wife thinks i do it on purpose while she is trying to talk to me. I have a 95 turbo 850 wagon 104k miles

      Mine does it occassionally, same noise as yours, if I try to just manaully turn the indicator on for a couple of flashes rather than fully pushing the stalk up or down.
      I suspect it is just a contact chattering in between on/off positions.

        seems to be when you don't press the turn signal all the way down...
        like if you hold it instead of pressing down to the click, when you're changing lanes...
        happens on my 850r during similar situations...
        no problem yet...
