Oil light stays on too long. V70-XC70 2000

On my V70R, the oil light stays on for up to about 5 seconds after I start the car. On the my wife's V70XC it goes out immediately. This has always been that way since I bought the R used 6 months ago. I changed to Mobil 1 10W-30, no difference. If this is a known symptom of oil pump wear or seal failure I will get it fixed under the extended warranty. Is there a specification for how long the oil light should stay on after start-up, I wonder?

There is no spec for how fast the light should go off or come on for that matter. I have never replaced an oil pump on the FWD cars, so that is not an area I'd look into. The oil pressure can be checked with a pressure gauge, there is specs for idle and off idle when warm (don't remember off the top of my head). Could be a bad oil pressure sensor, or could be bad seals internal to the oil pan.
