I noticed by other postings that I'm not the only 850 owner with problems getting the car to start in the cold. I don't even know if it was merely a coincidence that it happens to be cold now that my car wont start.
It started about six months ago when the engine would turn over, but nomatter how much I tried, no start. The shop changed the lifters and, after a few rough starts, the car worked fine.
Then, about three weeks ago, the engine would turn over, no start, but then 10 to 15 minutes later it would. This happened several times, enough so that I could bank on the car starting eventually.
Slowly it got worse. More frequent no-starts. Longer time between no-start and start. Then one day it died as I was gently accelerating about 5 minutes into my morning trip to class, and then started again 15 minutes later.
Then it happened: not even the delayed start. The engine turns over, but nothing happens, the car wont run. I bought a new fuel relay and installed it yesterday. Amazingly the car started, and after some rough idling, it ran beautifully. I drove to the store and around the neighborhood a little. It was warmer than normal out yesterday, but still chilly. Then, later on, and stil now, nomatter how much I tried, no start at all.
Any ideas???? Please help... I love my car and can't stant to see it suffer like this!!!!
