retraction of Rear Brake Caliper Pistons S40-V40 2002

How does one go about retracting the pistons on the rear brake calipers of a 2002 S40? I read an earlier series of posts that indicate that the piston must be rotated, but it wasn't explicit - do you rotate the piston to a certain orientation and then compress the piston normally, or does the piston screw in and out? I need help urgently because unfortunately, I pulled the caliper off the rotor and removed the pads already. Any advice is greatly appreciated...

Nevermind...I got'em changed! It's really quite simple once you realize they need to be turned. I used an 8" C-Clamp to put light pressure on the piston and was able to rotate the piston with a pair of Channel-Locks. Once I got the first couple of turns, simply tightening the C clamp made the pisto keep turning (it turned with the screw of the C-Clamp due to the friction in the spherical joint of the C-Clamp pad).
