Difference between t-5 and t-5r? 850 1995

I was looking on autotrader.com today and they specified between the 850, 850 GLT, 850 T-5, 850 T-5R in the selection menu. I didn't know there was a differnece between the T-5 and the T-5R. Is there?

To make a correction and then go on,

a T-5 is the turbo of prior years @222hp. The T5-R and R are the same vehicle with slightly different cosmetics @240hp for 10 sec. The R stands for Racing on both models and is a very limited and hard to find model. I own a 97 850-R. A neighbor of mine owns a 95 T5-R.

I think it's just the years. '95 it was a T-5, and '96 it was a T-5R .... I think the "R" stood for "Rediculous Color" :)) . The regular 850T in '95 is 222hp and the T-5 was 240hp with a 7-second limitation on it. Meaning it was the same engine but the T-5 ECU would bump the turbo boost up slightly for 7-seconds, then back to normal. I've kinda forgotten all the other differences (suspension, interior, rims, headlight wipers....).

    Not sure but I think it's about 18 HP. 222 vs. 240.

New to the board, have a question....
Did the "R" model come with any different or upgraded suspension components?

          Rick-

If you happen to catch this- one more question..Was the standard "R" suspension made available on any regular T5's? Not to hijack this guy's original post, but I currently have a 96 850T wagon and am starting to do a little research before picking up a 4D sedan, either an R or another 850T. Essentially I'm trying to determine (all opinions welcome, please) whether I should hold out for an R model or just buy a run of the mill, clean T5 and add some performance mods. I do like the added features of the R, but as far as sedans go the regular T5's aren't exactly lacking. Thanks in advance, and sorry for beating this post to death.

Actually, you should start a new thread as I think that you will get some comments.

            I own a '96 855R in (ridiculous I guess) red.

The suspension is so stiff that it will bump when you pass over the shadow of a telephone pole. The alcantra (SP) seats more than make up for the ride!

(Its weird when you drive a new V70 loaner and think that the new leather seats are kinda crummy!)
