i have a 1996 855 glt wagon and was thinking of upgrading the speakers because the stock ones all out suck(i think i blew the rear door ones) i was thinking of either sony or jbl's or infinity references but more toward the jbl's cuz they are cheaper (ebay) are jbl's good sound wise? i have a set of references in my 1990 745 and they sound pretty good thats why i am thinking of infinity? any one with experience with jbl's? the setup i wast is all jbl's is that a good idea? any recs?

sony is soso...

infinity ref are great for the money...but if u'r set for jb...they aren't too bad. i'd go with these two

From my expreience in the household audio field, JBL speakers always tended to be very good with bass, although possibly a little clumsy at times with the midrange...

Your best bet is to pop down to a local store and have a listen to a set, most major sellers of car audio will have them set up for you to listen to before you buy.
