I have a 1993 10 valve 2.5L 850 sedan. It needs new rings ΐ cylinders are down to 100psi]. I am looking at a second hand engine from a dismantled vehicle.
I can get a 20 valve 2.5 850 engine from 1995.
What issues would I face replacing the 10 valve engine? Will it slot right in? Will I need to change the fuel/ignition ECU?
Any other traps or should I stick to the 10 valve?
I don't need the extra power of the 20 valve [I have a V70, so I know the difference], it's a question of availability and price of replacement motors.
