We are rebuilding our 850 turbo engine and the machinist found wore so much we need pistions and rings LARGER than the standard + .4mm(.0016") that seem to be readily available. We need something in the +.8mm(.0032") Does anyone have a source for these? thank-you, phil

    Has anyone checked an OEM factory engine overhaul manual to see what the maximum overbore size is? There are limits and if Volvo doesn't offer a piston size that large, I'd say that they probably have their reasons and that you'ld then then be better off looking for another engine (reman Volvo with 12 month warranty?).
    I'd bet that you'll spend as much, if not more to rebuild that engine, especially including new pistons, etc than what a factory reman engine costs.
