Just saw our esteemed Sec. of State, Powell, this morning and was surprised to learn that he is a fan of classic volvos! He often drinks from a Volvo cup in meetings so if any of you ever get to meet him, Volvo is the operative word :)

There was an 850 (96?) up for sale on eBay about three months ago that once belonged to our esteemed president, W. Clearly, owning a Volvo does not necessarily reflect intellect.

Send "Volvo" Powell to California, I prefer to have him instead of Governor Davis or Ahnold Schwartzensneeker-just kidding. We need some Volvo type thinkers at the top-might do us good.

Yes, he actually owns a restored 122S saloon. He also repaired many Volvo's as a young officer and then sold them to supplement his pay.
