ECU Chip Swapping.....HELP !!!! S70

My ECU has a socket installed and I have an Upsolute chip. Today I tried switching back to the STOCK chip, just so I can see what my STOCK boost levels are, installed it in the socket, tried starting the car, it just cranks, won't start. Disconnected battery for about 30 secs. tried to start the car again, just cranks, does NOT start. Installed the Upsolute chip in it again, same thing it does not start !!!! Could I have fried the ECU board ?? I really doubt it but anything is possible. The car was running and starting fine before this. I have read that my car may have a IMMOBILIZER, what is this and could this be my problem ??? I have heard to try to disconnecting the battery for a few hours may help. Thank for any help or info. Also just to let everyone know, I have switched the chip several times from stock to Upsolute and back again and the chip is seated fine and the right orientation. My car is a 1998 S70 T5 5 Speed.God Bless.

    ECU Chip Swapping.....HELP !!!! S70

This is odd.... i posted a reply to this earlier today and now I don't see it here. Well, if it shows up and I end up double-posting, I apologize.

Anyway, I'm sorry I can't help you with your problem, but I'm hoping you can give me more info. on your chip. Is this a piggy-back chip? Can you provide me a link to more info. or anything? I'd appreciate it.

hope you can solve your problem. The longer battery disconnect may do the trick. Let's hope so.

well, I'm real sorry that I can't help you with your problem, but I'm hoping maybe you can fill me in on this chip. This is an add-on? Can you give me a link or anything to learn more. I would appreciate it.

good luck with your problem. I would definitely try disconnecting the battery for a while. 30 seconds might not be enough to erase the memory. It does seem odd to me, but security systems can be real funky sometimes.
