Turbo oil return line seal leak 850

When in for some other servicer (replace ABS control unit - $700) I got a $115 dealer quote to replace the turbo return line seal. I can see the oil leak, and yup something needs to be replaced. There is easy access to the leak, and the job looks amazingly simple. What parts are involved, and can someonwe descripe the process?

TIA

The "trick" seems to be that if the return line does not "naturally" (ie, under no pressure) line up well with where it attaches, this sideward tension can tend to distort the 'rubber' (plastic?) washer (glorified O-ring), promoting leakage.

So take care to make sure (bend slightly if necessary) it takes minimal force to align/attach it.

IPD's latest catalog also has a kit with the parts.

Look at the 700-900 FAQ. There are instructions to replace the seal. Should be same for 850 cars too. It is supposed to be inexpensive to do it yourself.

Thanks to all. I have the new IPD catalog, guess I didn't check well enough. I'll also look through the other references. Just saved myself a bunch!
