can a vacuum hose leak cause ROUGH IDLE or MISFIRE? 850 1997

I've been trying to eliminate this idle and changed some parts already like;

fuel filter
rotor
ignition wires
ignition coil
front and rear oxygen sensors
camshaft sensor

somewhat lessens a little bit of that idle or misfire after replacing these parts and looks like the remaining work to do is the vacuum elbow hose to replace. Would there be any more reasons why I have this misfire, could it possibly be EGR valve, solenoid, others?

I would appreciate all your expertise and thanks!

    Worn out engine mounts can cause the rough idling that you would perceive as excessive vibration on the steering wheel.

    Chris,

    I am not sure exactly how rough your idle is, but i should let you know that the Volvo I-5 motor is not balanced the way V8's, V6's, I6's, and even I4's are. It is inherently rough and no matter what you do, short of tearing the entire motor apart by an expert and rebalancing and rebuilding it, you will always have a rough idle. Every single I5 Volvo motor I've felt has a rough idle and I would save my money. Now, like I said before I dont know how rough your idle is, maybe you really do have something wrong, but if all you've got is vibration - especially in Drive at a stop light, that is perfectly normal.

    Check this, open the hood and look to your left on the side of the intake by the power steering pump there is this little elbow hose going into the intake. Likely it has a hole in it, it usually sets a code 232, long term fuel trim at idle. Its a bitch to replace, I know I charge a hour but if you can do, go for it!
