HELP!! Engine spins but no start!! 850 1995

This AM I joyfully slid into my brick for the morning drive and turned the key. All spin and no go. Not having time to mess with it I pushed it out of the driveway and took our 300M. I found many posts on the board concerning no start "lawnmower" situations but none of the remedies seemed to work. I am concerned that when attempting to bleed the fuel rail to check for pressure I got no gas at all, I at least expected alittle. Here's the heart of the question.

Is there a good way of testing the fuel pump?

Is there a way to test the fuel pressure regulator?

I have tried a jump start to rule out a flat battery but it made no difference. I also don't smell alot of gas like I would expect for a flooded engine. Hope someone can help.

Sounds just like when my fuel pump went out. Especially since you have no fuel pressure at the rail.

Sounds like fuel pump. Costs $350 at the dealer. About$250 at some part store. You might get it cheaper at some volvo part websites.
My wife was drive and it quit on the free way. Had to tow it home. Removed the fuel line and started the car, cranked and no fuel came out. Check power at fuel pump and got 12VDC while cranking. Replaced the pump and working fine now. Fuel pump is located behind rear right passanger seat in the trunk. Just follow Haynes manual.
      Good luck.
