Colour Coding 400

Hi all.
I`ve got `94 440. I`m looking to colour code the rubstrips on the doors, front and rear bumpers, and the trim on the roof which follows down the window pillars. Has anyone attempted this or have any similar experiences? Is there a special technique or special solutions i need in the paint? Any reccomendations?

Thankyou in advance for any help, Dan

A good (car) paint shop should be able to advise you on this. You probably want a type of paint which remains flexible, so it does not crack on the plastic parts.

You may also need to prep the surface and apply a special base coat first to allow the paint to properly bond to the surface. Most plastics have softening agents inside them which repel paint and make it 'non stick'.

You really need some professional advice on this..

Bye, Arno.
