location of turn signal flasher S70 1998

My turn signal works the first time I use it, then it may not work at all. both front and rear turn signals work when I move the lever to either side, they just don't flash. Is this just a simple flasher unit replacement? If so, where is the unit please and are they available after market anywhere???

thanks,
bob in Chicago

turn signal control is integrated into the switch for your hazard flashers. Easiest way to get it out is to pull your stereo (just pop out the two tabs on either side of it with a fingernail or cloth covered screwdriver and pull) and then push the hazard unit out from the back with your fingers, it's just a friction fit. You could probably find one of these really easy from a junkyard and save quite a bit over a new one from the dealer...

Good Luck!

Scott, thanks for the advice! I replaced the unit in about one minute! Could not find it in a junk yard, so paid the outrageous 60 clams for a new one. Also looked for an aftermarket one on internet, but to luck. Oh well, the price of safety....
