I think highly of Dalzell Brothers in Foxboro.

Although I bought elsewhere, I did so only as a function of price and availability. I got great treatment from Dalzell, and watched John Dalzell fixing a customer's car that was way out of the used car warranty MA requires, and doing it on a Saturday at no charge to the customer, just because he felt bad about it. And it was no small fix... bad camshaft on a 240.

They know these cars, and are easy to work with.

I live in Chelmsford Ma, and have been looking for a quality indy shop for awhile. I recently was recommended to a shop in Lincoln by a V70 driver I met through work. The place is called T&F World of Service. They are a Volvo specialty shop. I haven't ever been there, I've been using the dealer for my 240 since moving back from Ann Arbor Mi (Where there is an excellent indy called Swedish Engineering). I just traded that car in for a V70, and desperately want to find a good indy shop. I trust the opinion of the person who refered me to T&F, and plan to give them a try for my next service. I found on the brickboard shop search a place in Reading, but I forget the name. Try the search if interested. Oh yeah, there's also a place up in Hudson NH that is pretty good. I'll find out the name if you're interested in it, but it might be too far for you.
