Radio problem 1991

I had to replace my battery on my 91 240DL now I cant get the radio to work. I punched in the code but still get the 3 EEE when I turn it on, I tried several times, even disconnected the battery and reconnected to no avail. It was working fine before the battery replacement, any suggestions

You are not using the correct code for that radio. The only way I know to get the right code is to remove the radio, write down the radios PN, serial # and model and either try calling a dealers parts dept or go there in person. With those #s, they can get the right code.
