NEW RECALL?? 850

I might be going crazy, but as I was flipping through the channels during a commercial break for the Leaf Game, I could have sworn I saw on Headline News a Volvo recall for 1996 854, 855's Seat Heaters. I will go back and see if it was real or I was imagining it. I looked up the Headline News website, but no indication of anything. Go leafs! My car is a '97, but thought might be of some interest to those out there with '96

NEW RECALL?? 850

According to the site, it involves 96 and 97 850s; any model with the heated seats. Should I await a letter from volvo or just go see my dealer? It's frigging ice-cold in NYC this week and I need my heated seats to be 100%.

NEW RECALL?? 850

Nothing personal, but how much do you weigh? It seems folks over 200+ pounds have the issue more frequently....

I used ours a lot this weekend. No smoke but we aren't large.

I will say this: the 850 seat heater is way hotter than the 240 bun warmer.

I'm waiting for the letter.

PS How come people have started new threads on the same topic? Is this an AWD/FWD forum thing? Not a moderator here just a long term BB fan.
