Catalytic Converter Question 850 1994

I recently found out I have a 1-way Cat instead of a 3-way. The previous owners had to replace it (why I don't know). My mechanic says it shouldn't cause me any problems. Just wondering if there's a cat expert out there who has an opinion.

Also, does that have an effect on performance?

The rear O2 sensor monitors the cats efficiency so if there's no fault codes, no check engine light and you're passing state emisions tests, you have nothing to worry about.
