melting low beam sockets problem 850 1994

My problem start out as a minor low beam problem(dual light bulb, one for high and one for low on 94 850 model). Now, it's not the bulbs that is burning out(melted), its the socket. I repalced 5 sockets within six months . First one lasted three months, second one lasted two, third one lasted one, forth one last one week and the last one it only last 2 days. I thought it was the fuse but i checked it, nothing. Could it be the relay?? Where is the relay for low beams?? (I know there are some relays right beside all the fuses)
I NEED HELP PLEASE!! I COULDN'T SEE WHEN I'M DRIVING AT NIGHTTIME. I WILL BE CHCEK THIS FORUM VERY SOON AGAIN. PLEASE HELP..THANK YOU

Electrical resistance results in heat generation, I squared times R. The more resistance (R) for a given current (I) the more heat. Make sure the contacts are clean and shiny on both the socket and the lamp.

If one or the other is corroded, something may be getting on the contacts.

Does it happen on both (R & L) sides?

Are you using the correct wattage bulbs in your car, or are they high wattage (e.g. higher than 55 watts)?

Gosh....I have no idea...unless maybe there's a fuse that's a ligher amperage than there should be, and some way for the line to the lights to become overchargered...
